Scenario 1 | MONEY is your No.1 motivation
If money is your key driver, and you have a figure you want, state that figure, SIMPLE!!
Scenario 2 | MONEY is not your No.1 motivation
The best approach is to try to dodge the question and force the company to put a figure to you
- Answer the question with a question e.g., what would a role like this pay in your company?
- Say you are negotiable
- Outline your current package, but indicate you are negotiable
- Present a salary range you’ve identified as part of you market research
